Summit 2017.jpg

A Day in Santa's Shoes

On Friday, December 8th, the Flutie Foundation convened over 70 autism organizations for the 4th Annual Partner Summit and Grant Announcement. At this event, the Flutie Foundation awarded $450,000 to 36 organizations who are helping children and families live life to the fullest. The goal of the Flutie Foundation Grants Program is to ensure that individuals with autism are getting access to care, leading active lifestyles and growing toward adult independence.

This year's funded initiatives include direct family support, group therapy for anxiety, vocational training, sensory equipment, music therapy, swimming programs, teen recreational experiences, inclusive summer camps, social enterprises and more! It is estimated that over 10,000 people will be directly impacted.

Speakers at this year’s summit, sponsored by the Wireless Experience™, included Jackie Bruno of NBC Boston 10, who served as Master of Ceremonies for the Summit and Keynote Speaker Actor, Father and Writer Billy Devlin. The summit also included educational speakers and two capacity building workshops: Creating a Social Media Community hosted by Causemo, Inc. and Building the Model Development Program hosted by Charles Gordon of the New Kensington Group.
