Helping People Living With Autism Reach Their Goals

"Behind the scenes, this trip was not easy for me and at times I got very frustrated. However, just like for Tyler and Scott on the golf course, I was able to find focus on camera. With this life changing opportunity to be a Flutie Fellow covering such an exciting national event, I am one step closer to reaching my goal to become a Professional Sports Broadcaster."

- Andrew Roberts

Recently the Flutie Foundation had the opportunity to sponsor two incredible golfers with autism, Scott Rohrer (of South Carolina) and Tyler Lagasse (of Tyngsboro, MA), who competed in the Special Olympics USA Games in Seattle, earning Gold and Silver medals respectively. Flutie Foundation Fellow Andrew Roberts, a 14-year-old with autism who is an aspiring sports reporter, was in Seattle as well and reported on the three-day USA Championship golf “duel” between Tyler and Scott, bringing you exciting highlights and interviews.

And of course, speaking of golf, Tyler Lagasse and Andrew will also be at our Flutie Foundation Golf Classic on Monday, September 17th at Brae Burn Country Club! We’d love for you to join us again this year. If you are interested in sponsoring a foursome or participating in any way you can sign up HERE!
